Tokyo – Last Day

I started the day by joining a small group of folks on an ebike ride that toured the city. We maneuvered through the city streets and parks with some folks from Houston.

The first thing we encountered was the train station where we were told 3,000 trains pass through every day. This is the second largest station in Tokyo.

We came across the palace where President Trump stayed recently as well as another palace that we seen form a distance. We also went by a stadium where they play baseball. The tour lasted about three hours. We ended up eating sushi which was delivered by a conveyor belt. Like everything else in Tokyo – a very efficient system.

For dinner I ate at a restaurant whereby you order the food that is delivered to your table and then you cook it on a small grill in the center of the table. This system is called Yakiniku which means grilled meat in Japanese. Great fun.

A cool bridge with palace in the background.

Also rode through this cemetery which is the middle of Tokyo which I found interesting.

I ended the day in a rooftop bar at the Andaz Hotel which had stunning views of the city

A few last words bout Tokyo. I found it the quietest, cleanest, safest, most organized large city that I have ever visited. There are stunning views everywhere and very little traffic with very few sirens. (I think I heard one in my total stay). All cars are clean and everyone is very patcient and respectful. The way of life is built to save space and be efficient. I feel like it will be my favorite city in the world.

Next will be boarding a flight to Bangkok, Thailand. Stay tuned.
