Phi Phi Island is off the cost of Thailand. I flew into Phuket and loaded up on a large ferry to buck the high seas for a two hour haul to Phi Phi Island. I had originally scheduled a speed boat however I got notice that there were 3 foot waves and it may be better to take the ferry. The sea was very ruff and even threw the ferry around a bit.

Large diesel powered ferry.
Upon arrival you exit onto a smaller boat which landed ashore. Then you take your shoes off and jump in the water and work your way to the shoreline where we were greeted by the hotel staff.
I checked into a the Saii Phi Phi Island Village Resort (see below) and had a nice Thai dinner. The next morning, I had scheduled an Island tour on a private speed boat which sped around the area where I seen all the main attractions. One of the first stops was Maya Bay.

At one stop I got to see this monkey holding her baby. Different than seeing them in a zoo.

A picture off the island.

Rain coming in as I left Phi Phi Island.

A cool cabin nestled into the trees.

Island taxis.
It was great and just relaxed the rest of the day.
I spent the rest of my time at the resort relaxing and catching up on emails. It was sad leaving but had to catch the ferry back to Phuket where I checked in to a JW Marriott close to the airport. I will catch a flight to Hong Kong – the last leg of the trip.
