Day 20 Vietnam Motorbike Tour

This looks like a painting (taken with iPhone X).

I am very pleased by the number of views I have had on this travel blog. For those of you that would like to get to know me better – please check out my business website at http://www.dougmottet.com

Also, a few days after I end my Vietnam Motorbike tour I will be posting a link to a video that was shot from my guide’s gopro helment cam on my business website which will show all the highlights of my adventure. Don’t forget to check it out!

Our hotel in Quy Nhon City

I woke up and went down to eat breakfast. The folks that worked in the hotel couldn’t speak any English which is rare in this industry. The breakfast buffet looked like a chinese restaurant lunch buffet. Where are the bacon & eggs? I found an area that would also make eggs so I had three.

We only had around 65 miles today so we took our time making it to our next stop. It was a beach called Dai Lanh in the province of Phu Yen. The ocean to the east is called the South China Sea. The beach was incredible. I have never seen a zero entry beach. I went out around 100 feet into the water and it was only knee deep.

Dai Lanh Beach

The sand was as fine as chalk and packed down. I laid in an inch of water with no sand movement at all. It was awesome! I had the beach all to myself surrounded by mountains. (Sorry I got a a little picture happy with this blog).

There was a wedding celebration going on when we pulled into this resort and I ended up in the middle of it getting my picture taken with the friends and family. Once it got started they wouldn’t allow me to leave. I don’t think they had ever seen a man with gray hair before. How do I always get into these situations?

Crashed the wedding! (Bride & Groom).

I have no idea who this is!

Below you will see my beach bungalow. The water was just steps away.

Our Beach Bungalow.

There were some other cool bugalows that were a bit smaller with no air-conditioning. My guide had connections so we got upgraded!

Very colorful!

Our next stop tomorrow is another beach destination that is even better than the one pictured above. Stay tuned!
