Up with the roosters and on the road by 8:30. We only had around 80 miles so was an easy day. We road fairly slow – there really was no hurry. While rounding one of the corners on a mountain road there was a biker coming at me. Just when he past me he lost control and went down. I immediately made a u-turn and went back to help him up. He was not hurt but a bit shaken. After a hand shake I was back on the bike and on my way.

At lunch time all he locals were tuned into the TV watching Trump in Hanoi.
We also jumped on a ferry and crossed a lake / river. It took us across to the other side and we drove off.

When we were close to our Homestay the scenery turned awesome. We checked in and I went to look around the village which was named Mai Chau. I found a bar and set down beside a couple from the UK. We talked non-stop for about and hour and a half. Great conversation. I also found this super cool place to stay and inquired about the price. It was around $40.00 and had a nice bed with a balcony. (Are you kidding me)? Also had a blow dryer! In our Homestay, I was on a mattress on the floor in an upstairs room of the building. I asked my guide about moving and he agreed as long as I paid the overage. I jumped at the chance.
We had a very good dinner and there was a group of dressed up ladies dancing for us. I even joined in at one point which probably wasn’t a pretty site. There was a group there from Colorado that joined in as well. Very fun night. This has been my favorite place to stay thus far. Very quite and tranquil. (I must be getting old). Lights out.
