I woke up to crowing roosters. I don’t mean one or two but there must be around 20 plus. So when one would crow the other would try to outdo it. It was as if it was a game and he who crowed the loudest wins.
I had a relaxing day as I took a cab into Sapa and looked around at the Cho Sapa Market. This is a tourist hot spot where they sell all their tourist stuff.
I found the area where they were selling meat interesting. There were hog heads, fish heads, intestines and many other wierd things. Keep in mind there are no FDA inspectors so it was quite a scene. There is no refrigeration which I still don’t have figured out. After about two hours, I took a cab back to my Homestay.

It is amazing what you find these folks hauling with their motorbikes. In the picture above is a dead hog that I assume is headed to slaughter. That is me on the bike.

While eating lunch one day this cute little girl was closely watching me. Note the Dell computer case in the background.

I am very anxious to get back on the road and will be looking forward to leaving tomorrow.

Good stuff Doug! I have read every post thus far and will keep reading!
