We departed the Rees Hotel and arrived at the Queenstown airport for a flight to Christchurch then immediately caught another flight to Nelson. Both these airports are very small. We didn’t even need to go through security since these were domestic flights which seemed weird but nice.
We flew Air New Zealand and these planes were 60 passenger with propeller props. We went outside to load – just like the old days.

Upon landing we had a rental car waiting. In New Zealand you drive on the opposite side of the road and the steering wheel is on the right side of the car. When you turn on the turn signal the windshield wipers come on.

My co-pilot was constantly giving me pointers on how to drive. 😉 It is crazy – you really have to stop and think.
We went to Hooks for dinner and had some great seafood.

We checked in to the Kimi Era Eco Resort which is in Kaiteriteri, New Zealand. It is very remote and quiet.

A picture of the inside of our cabin.

We had a very beautiful sunrise this morning.

Will be going on a National Park tour today. Stay tuned.
