We left our hotel and headed south. After a few miles the view was incredible. We stopped to take pictures. We were on a bluff overlookig the South China Sea. The beach went on for miles and not a person in sight.

We had an easy ride and arrived at our hotel in Mui Ne around 12:30 PM. The Muong Thanh hotel is one of the best hotels I have stayed in on the trip. It had a magnificent pool as well as all the other amenities. I even had a very good steak for dinner which is very rare in Vietnam.

The ocean as well as the pool had the warmest water that I have ever swam in. As darkness set in – many of the fishing boats light up like a small city off the shoreline. My guide tells me the people live on these boats.
I met a young man at the pool that was born in Vietnam but had moved to New York City. He was in the fashion business and had decided to move back to Vietnam to get away from the hussle & bustle of New York. He also said the lower cost of living would be a great benefit.

We will be up early tomorrow morning and head to Ho Chi Minh City to hopefully avoid the traffic. I can’t believe the end is near.
