Due to the fact we only had 70 miles to go until we reached Nha Trang, we were in no hurry to get on the road today. On our way we met a retired couple from Chiang Mai, Thailand who were traveling Vietnam by motorbike. They were originally from the UK and had retired from the airline industry. They had an interesting story.
We rode into Nha Trang. This city has a lot of highrise buildings and has a Miami Beach feel to it. We checked into the Havanna Hotel and then hit the beach.
I spent the day at the beach and then went to the top of our hotel were there is a bar called the Skylight. It is up about 44 floors and offers a 360 view of the city and the mountains. A very cool attraction. It reminds me of the Skybar in Bangkok. This is one of my favorite things to do. I met a guy from China at the top and we had a nice visit. We are ahead of schedule because I decided to take the coastline into Ho Chi Minh City instead of the mountains, so we will be staying here for two nights. We are now about 180 miles from Ho Chi Minh City.
